Symptoms of Low Sodium on a Ketogenic Way of Eating
- Natriuresis is a mild condition causing symptoms like headache, edema, swelling of lipedema fat, constipation, or cramping.
- Hyponatremia on the other hand, is a dangerous sodium deficiency in the blood which causes extreme nausea, dizziness, fainting, heart palpitations, unconsciousness, and even death.
- If you are on a ketogenic way of eating, replace your lost sodium and watch for symptoms of low sodium.
- It is also important to drink water to thirst and not to overdrink, as this can accelerate sodium loss.
