Addressing Lipedema Pain through Complete Decongestive Therapy (CDT)
- Today, I want to discuss a study conducted by a team of researchers in Szeged, Hungary.
- The paper, titled “Lymphedema Treatment Decreases Pain Intensity in Lipedema,” was published in the peer-reviewed journal Lymphology in 2011.
- The study aimed to assess the effects of traditional lymphedema treatment on pain intensity among women with lipedema.
- The treatment described in the paper includes manual lymph drainage (MLD), pneumatic pump therapy, skincare, compression bandaging, and exercise.
