Today I’d like to tell you about a paper by Alexandre Campos Moraes Amato called: Is Lipedema a Unique Entity?, which was published in the peer-reviewed journal EC Clinical and Medical Case Reports in January 2020.
This paper presents a theory about the clinical evolution of lipedema and how lipedema is involved with other chronic conditions.
He suggests a three-pronged approach for treatment which includes Clinical Treatment, Self-Awareness and Surgical Treatment, and/or Ketogenic Diet.
This paper is important for women with lipedema because it suggests not only the possible triggers of lipedema and the mechanisms for each but also how we can use this knowledge to better manage the condition.
