The Lymphatic Center at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Harvard Medical School in Boston, MA was opened in October 2016. The Center is patient-oriented and multidisciplinary including core programs in lymphatic therapy, lymphatic medicine, lymphatic surgery, and radiology. The Center has evaluated over 900 new patients for lymphatic disorders since opening its doors.

In this webinar, Dr Dhruv Singhal and Dr Brett Carrol will focus on the Lymphatic Center at BIDMC and what has been done to date. Additionally, we will discuss the challenges and opportunities of incorporating elements of lipedema care into the role of the Center.Leslyn Keith, OTD, CLT-LANA will offer her response as to how this can help our lipedema community.

DHRUV SINGHAL, MD founded and developed the Lymphatic Center at BIDMC and over the past few years has established a comprehensive, patient-centered, and holistic approach. Each patient has a team of providers and a personalized protocol to ensure the best of care. Dr. Singhal is a pioneer in immediate lymphatic reconstruction for the prevention of lymphedema in high-risk patients. His research focus is on lymphatic reconstruction.

BRETT CAROLL, MD is the director of Lymphatic Medicine seeing over 300 patients annually with lymphedema as part of our multidisciplinary lymphatic center with the primary role of appropriate diagnosis and conservative management. He is also the Director of the Section of Vascular Medicine at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Instructor in Medicine at Harvard Medical School.

LESLYN KEITH, OTD, CLT-LANA has a Clinical Doctorate in Occupational Therapy with an emphasis on lymphedema and obesity. Dr. Keith currently researches, consults, and lectures on lymphedema, lipedema, and obesity internationally. She is Board President for The Lipedema Project, Inc. and an instructor for Klose Training and Consulting.
