Today, I’d like to tell you about a study conducted in Turkey, called The Effects of Complete Decongestive Therapy or Intermittent Pneumatic Compression Therapy or Exercise Only in the Treatment of Severe Lipedema: A Randomized Controlled Trial and was published in Lymphatic Research and Biology in December 2020.
The researchers were interested in the effects of various interventions for women with later-stage lipedema.
This study suggests that exercise is an important component of treatment for stage 3-4 lipedema and, when combined with manual lymph drainage and compression bandaging, more optimal results can be experienced.
